All right :) Let me share with you on what I know :P So far, there are 4 model of playstation 3 that is exist in the market now. They are :- 1. 20GB Console 2. 40GB Console 3. 60GB Console 4. 80GB Console The first model of playstation 3 is 20GB console, this model have the least hard disk space among the other models. What does hard disk space use for? You need to download the game from the CD into your playstation 3 hard disk before start playing the game. It also allow you to save your video files and picture files. In short, less hard disk space that your game console have, less data that you can save into your game console. Besides, the 20GB console also not integrated with the Wifi that you require to stay online and play online games. But there are some folks said in the game forum that they can make their 20GB console connect to internet by install a Ethernet converter into their playstation 2 console. The 40GB console is integrated with Wifi that allow you to play online games. For your info, there are no charges from playstation games developer if you play online games ( You just need to bear the internet service provider cost ) However, you cant play majority of the playstation 1 and playstation 2 games with your 40GB console. The 3rd generation of the playstation 3 is 60GB Console. The 60GB console is integrated with both emotion engine and Wifi that allow you to play playstation 1 games and playstation 2 games and play online games as well. The 4th generation which also the latest generation of the playstation 3 console is 80GB Console. Currently Sony Entertainment only publish this Model officially. The 80GB new PS3 Console will allow you to play online games, but unable to play majority of the playstation 1 and playstation 2 games. It has the largest hard disk that allow you to save a lot of data.
