" 1) INTRODUCTION I am aware of the amount of pure statistical information on the operatives, weapons and items, but I cannot find any detailed FAQs, so I decided to write one. It won't include info that can be found elsewhere, just the 2 versions of the walkthrough. The walkthrough is split into a brief version and a thorough version.
The brief version is for the more experienced gamer (like myself =P) I would like to author game guides for an established company such as Piggy Back Interactive or Prima Games. I would also like to be a games tester for -any- system, so if anybody can help me here, please contact me =)

For the newbies, I recommend you play this mission to learn, rather then use that useless training mission. A simple hostage mission. Stick with the original roster and kit. If anybody dies then just restart because we can't afford to loose decent operatives so early in the game. This one tried to teach you how to use the operatives intelligently but still manages to mess it up. I only just found out (end of 2002) and I've had this for years.. More Rainbow Six Tips: Action: Switch to green team. Go through the door and shoot the terrorist. Go through the door dead ahead then through the next door then the next and then the next(3 empty rooms). Shoot the 2 terrorists up the small flight of stairs. Go upthen through the gap. Face right then wait for all 3 terrorists to pass by and shoot them one by one. It is quicker if you use the terrorist cope becausethey half-hide behind the wall so alot of your bullets will miss. Turn around (180 degrees) and then follow the corridor but go through the door straight ahead (without going round the corner at the end of the straight bit) Tell the hostage to follow you. Back track through to the outside balcony: More Rainbow Six Tips: through door, end of straight bit, through gap, down stairs, through 4 empty rooms and then outside. 3.2 - Operation: Cold Thunder Roster changes: No Kit changes: No My time: 6.30 More Rainbow Six Tips: My kills: 11 My brief : Another hostage mission but outside. Action :More Rainbow Six Tips: Let the other 2 operatives run ahead. They'll shoot in the bush first of all then at a terrorist perched on top of some steps. Go up those steps and followthe building round to the door. Go in and shoot the terrorist waiting with eyes on you. Go through the door then go to the end of the hallway until it bends right. Turn right around this bend then right again. Shoot the terrorist right in front of you the head up stairs on the left. You might encounter 1 or 2 terrorists coming from the darkness outside (in front of you before stairs) so just shoot them. More Rainbow Six Tips: Shoot the terrorist at the top and turn right. Go through the first right then go round the corner then go first right door. Go through another door, shoot the terrorist then tell the hostage to follow. Retrace your steps back outside: More Rainbow Six Tips: Through 2 doors, turn left and follow round corner and straight ahead through door. Turn left then go down stairs on left and through the doorway. Down the stairs then turn right into a largish space (cellar). My time: 7.14 My kills: 15 My brief: More Rainbow Six Tips: This one calls for an explosive expert to disarm 2 bombs that the Phoenix Group has laid in an oilrig in the North Sea, just because they want to destroy all modern world and rise from the ashes to rebuild an environmentalistUtopia. Yeah oright chaps! Give em some steel bullet-counseling to help 'em clear thier minds! Action: More Rainbow Six Tips: Go to the end and turn right. Kill the terrorist then go up the ladder and kill another terrorist. Go left then left again and kill the terrorist. Go right then quickly right again and shoot the terrorist through the door. Go into the room and you'll see a room with a huge cylinder in it. Go round the back and start disarming the bomb whilst you switch to red team. Follow the footwalks and kill the terrorist. Go through the only door then another only door then -another- only door. Turn immediately right to kill a terrorist. Turn around (180 degrees) then go round the corner. Ignore all the doors untilyou get to some stairs. More Rainbow Six Tips: Climb the stairs then turn left then follow round the corner then kill another terrorist. Go forward and round another corner and kill another terrorist. Turn quickly right and up those stars and kill the terrorist at the top. Go through the door to the outside then pick through the door in the corner of the building. Kill the terrorist the other side of this door then turn left. Follow round then go through the door. Follow the foot path round and kill theterrorist. Go through the door here and run round to the back of the huge cylinder thing. Disarm the bomb on the feeder pipe. Joy. Action: Switch to green member straight away and pick the door. Shoot the terrorist straight away then proceed through the door on the left. turn right and go through the door straight ahead then up the stairs. Rush this room and kill the terrorist before he kills the hostage. Tell the hostage to follow then goback down the stairs through the door then through another door at the bottom. Proceed through to the door at the end and through the kitchen and through another doors to free this hostage. You might have encountered a patrolling terrorist in the hallway, but you should kill him easily. Go back into the kitchen and then go into the door in the middle of the2 doors you have already opened. Go down the 2 flights of stairs and kill the2 terrorists. Follow the tunnel through until it opens slightly with a centralpillar. Kill the 2 terrorists here ad tell the hostage to follow you. Retraceyou steps back through the tunnel, up the stairs, killing a terrorist in thekitchen and turn left and through the door to the outside. 3.5 - Operation: Lone Fox Roster changes: No Kit changes: Blue team. Additional slot 1: lockpick. Additional slot 2: Demolitions kit. My time: 8.35 My kills: 15 My brief: Great. Big bombs in a missile silo with a countdown and trip wires. Makes me wanna join the armed forces... In the past missions you should have been able to master the art of moving swiftly. Use this to your advantage when locating the bombs. Now, because this mission has a timer, I advise you to either use the brief walkthrough, or go through the thorough walkthrough few times so it's locked in your head. Kill the terrorist as soon as you can and if possible, without detection. Thiswill reduce the chance of gettingg spotted and having the alarm triggered. Ifthat happens, you have even less time to do this mission. Action: Switch straight to red team and watch for trip wires in the tunnels. You should be able to see them when you put on the night vision goggles. When you come to a room with loads of switch board looking objects, go directly left andwalk along the wall so the terrorists ahead don't detect you. Go in the door and put the night vision goggles on again to go under a trip wire. Turn immediately right and shoot a terrorist. Don't rush ahead because there are 3 more terrorists over the balcony. Just crouch and shoot them 1 at a time.1 to the left and 1 to the right. Follow the footpath round in the tunnel and kill the terrorist in the room with the large turbine. Go through the door without the sign over it and follow the tunnel with the NVGs again, avoiding the trip wire and killing theterrorist in the room at the end. Go through the tunnel and kill another terrorist as well as minding the trip wires with the NVGs. Go through until you come across an open room. Kill the 2 terrorists in front of you then follow the tunnel again with the NVGs. Go through the door, killing the terrorist, and face you operative in a corner so that he may defend himself. Switch to blue team and open door. Go through to the wide room again from before and go through another door. Kill the terrorist in this room then go through to the door. Now, before you get surprised by the wide open space, I'dlike to warn you in advance that there is a terrorist on the right and on the other side of the missile (usually I could snipe them out). Now carefully go down the ladder and shoot the terrorist guarding the office behind the trip wires. Sprint through the trip wires and pick the door to the office. turn and kill the 2 terrorists. Enter the office and quickly press the switched and run to the left door FASTNow that you're in, disarm the bomb nearest the door. 3.6 : Operation: Ghost Dance Roster changes: Blue team moved to insert same place as other teams. Kit changes: All teams. Primary weapon: M16 My time: 9.08 My kills: 38 My brief: Another damn hostage mission! These do my head in because I'm the one who prefers an all-out shooting match to clear the level... Ahh well! This one was a real pain for me first time round but if you follow this walk through, you'll be well in the clear. Action: Switch straight to red team (quickest lock picker)then tell the other 2 teams to follow you. Pick the lock of the door in front. Go through 2 empty rooms then turn right to shoot a terrorist at the corner. Turn back round (180 degrees) then follow the path round until you come across a terrorist. Kill him. Obviously. Go up and over the slopey bits here and through the doorand turn right and shoot another gun totting moron. Go through the door to shoot a terrorist and follow the path round until you come to an open space. Shoot the terrorist on the floor of the display. Keep going on the path until you come to face a door. Turn left andgo through the door straight ahead. Shoot the terrorist past the railings ahead of you and go through the second door on the left and follow it round til you see the display. Scope the terrorist out then turn back (180 degrees)back to the room with railings and go in the door directly to your right (first left when you first entered this room). Shoot the terrorist on the leftand head down the stairs. Go through the old door and turn right and go through the tunnel. Tellthe hostage to follow you and turn right down the other tunnel. Go past one ship then throw a flash bang in the room with the next. Quickly shoot the terrorist then tell the hostage to follow you. Keep following the route forward. By now you should have 2 hostages and an operative tailing you. This makes the mission easier if you have the hostages rounded up and another back up operative to look after thier backs. (as well as yours =P) In this tunnel, order all 3 followers to stay put whilst you throw a flashbang into the wide space and shoot the terrorist at the top and to the immediate left of the tunnel exit. Turn right around (180 degrees) and go backuntil you come across the dingy part of the park where you went through thatold looking door. Go through this door and back up the stairs. turn right andgo through the door then go to the end in front and bend round right and makeyour way through the crates again. Go past the balcony over the display andthrough the door and over another balcony over a display. Follow this path until you reach a corridor that can either go right through a door or straightround a corner. Opt for the doorway on the right and go through the next 2empty rooms to the outside. 2 hostages freed. Damn hostages. Ok this time it's some odd ball from thePhoenix group that is snitching for us but he got caught. Good for him. The above kit changes have been made to enhance the stealth of your teamsbecause once detected, explosives will be triggered on the dam, and we all know what that leads to. Alot of water on a small town. =D More Rainbow Six Tips: Action: Go straight through the door and down the steps. Go through the door and shootthe terrorist. Go round the corner then snipe the terrorist at the end of the hallway. ( if you aren't quick enough, jus go to the end and go round the corner to shoot him.) More Rainbow Six Tips: Continue round the pathway and shoot the terrorist to the left. Switch to the red team and go through the door and down the stairs. Open the door and turn left and tell the other operative to follow you. Continue through the passageway that you didn't go through earlier (your left) until you bend rightand see a terrorist. Quickly side step back behind the corner and go into yourscope. Side step and snipe the terrorist. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go forward and go through the first door on the right. Head down the stairsand go through the first door on the left that you see. Turn left and followthe passageways until you see a terrorist. Shoot him then go forward towards the railings and snipe downward at the terrorist. Go round the corner slightlyand kill another terrorist. Go back slightly and go through the door on your left. Head down all the way until you see a door directly in front of you. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through it and kill the terrorist to the left on the ledge. Go forward andup some steps to kill another terrorist. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through the door on the right and follow it round and kill a terrorist.Continue following the pathway until you see another terrorist in the officeahead. Snipe him out quickly then proceed on the pathway, following the exitsign on the wall. Go through the door at the end of this passage and then godown the stairs. At the bottom, go through the door and turn right. Walk around the huge curve and down the passage and round the corner on the right. More Rainbow Six Tips: Kill the terrorist dead ahead and then another terrorist further ahead. Go round the corner and through the door. Go up the stairs, past one door - after killing a terrorist here, and through the next. Go through the door andinto the toilets on the left. Tell the snitch to follow you. G back out the toilet and back down the stairs. More Rainbow Six Tips: Retreat back out the toilet, and down the stairs to the bottom. Go throughthe door and then follow the tunnel again. When you come to it, go through thedoor on your left. Go up the stairs and through the first door on the right.Follow the passageways all the way round, go through a door and then turn left. More Rainbow Six Tips: Shoot the terrorist here and go forward towards his dead body. Go through the door and back up the slopes. Go through the door then turnleft again through the tunnel. A 'destroy all' mission! Finally! Shame it's on a basis where one shot can kill you...damned bio suits. Nothing much to do but kill all. There isn'tany trip wires, alarm triggering terrorists, bombs or hostages or even those pesky confusing tunnels in the dark. Action: More Rainbow Six Tips: Ahh just use the red team to kill all the people outside the complex. These include: 1 terrorist by the gate More Rainbow Six Tips: 1 scientist near to insertion 2 terrorists inside rooms near insertion 2 terrorists in rooms near gate More Rainbow Six Tips: 3 terrorists near the double steel doors After killing all these, switch to blue team and run around the complex a bit,killing the last lot of terrorists. There are 10 more terrorists left within the complex for the blue team to find then mission is complete. Easy. As the orders say, you might be able to save time by approaching the airstrip from behind the watch tower. More Rainbow Six Tips: You must move quickly and thoroughly to sweep the entire area. (WOOOOOO!! Another kill-all mission! =D ) Acton: More Rainbow Six Tips: Move forward and kill the scientist. turn left and go through the tower door.Kill the terrorist at the top then face you operative towards the plane.Switch to green team.More Rainbow Six Tips: Turn around (180 degrees then go through the door then the next. Snipe theterrorist up ahead then position your operative in the far corner, facingthe way you came in. Switch to red team. Action: More Rainbow Six Tips: Switch to red team then pick the door lock. Go through then snipe the terroristup on the balcony. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go up the slope in the corner then through one set of bars.Snipe the terrorist through the bars then continue round the corner to shoota terrorist. Turn to the right and strafe to kill 2 more terrorists. (you mustdo this quickly, before they kill the hostages). Tell the 2 hostages to follow you then retreat your steps. Go back through the blue bars, down the slope and through the doors in the corner to the outside. Action: More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through the door then kill the terrorist to the right. Go straight throughto the end then turn left to kill a terrorist. Go through here then carefullydown the ladder. Go in the left door into the dark. Turn left then kill theterrorist. Walk ahead then kill the terrorist round the corner. Shoot the terrorist here then another 2 at the end of the hallway with the sniper scope. Walk forward then through the door. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through the next door then turn left to kill anotherterrorist. Keep looking this way then kill the next terrorist walking past. More Rainbow Six Tips: Turn back right then go through that door. Go through the next door then right. Go throught the walkway to the right but not the door to the left. Kill the terrorist in this room then tell the hostage to follow you. More Rainbow Six Tips: Turn back round and walk until you come to the room with the 2 doors (after coming out the walkway). More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through the one on the left then the next. Turn right then the first right again. Follow round and go back up the stairs to thetop then through the door again. Shoot the terrorist in this corridor then go right and through the door. Go back up the ladder then through the door. More Rainbow Six Tips: go ahead then take a sharp left then a sharp right. Go round the corner and through the door. Go through the doorway without the door part on the right from the ladder. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go through the doorway without the door part then up the ladder. Go through the door then find the dark corner with the porthole in it. Go up the ladder then through the doorway without the door part. Follow roundand kill the terrorist then go throught the door in front (no through the walkway). Go outside. I spent countless hoursand attempts to get this damn mission done. I bet this operation is the reasonyou d/l'd this FAQ. Never fear, Davy's here =) Firstly you get told you have to download a load of data from a computer, great. Not so bad, right? WRONG! -Then- you get told that you can't be spotted! Ok..this is gonna be difficult so sit back, chill out and take this one easy. I'm going to explain this one in better detail then usual because it's quite complicated, and calls for such detail. Action: Frequently check the terrorist locations by pressing [select] to see the map. This is also a good idea when you're using these directions as you know -exactly- where to rush to, saving you the time of dawdling, confusion and justplain gettingg lost... Switch to red team. Go up the steps then pick the lock. Go forward and cut sharply round the corner and rush to the other side of the spa and go through the room in front of you. (not turning left) *WARNING* Whatever you do, -don't- tread on the seperate tile in the center of this room, YET. It has a white line around it so you shouldn't be able to missit. This tile triggers the alarm, sending the terrorists in, pausing thier patrol routes ;) Now, there's an open door to your right and a closed door toyour left. The right door is off limits as there are 2 very Persistent patrolling terrorists just around the corner. Instead, go into the left door. Switch to red team and go up the stairs and through the door. Position him by the door that leads to the spa, out of sight. Switch back to blue team. Now, this is just a small, empty room, right? Wrong! It's the perfect hiding space for when you set off the alarm! So...now you'vebecome friendly with the little room, run out, step on the tile then -quickly- run back into the little room. Press [select] then watch 2 terrorists rush in through each door. This leaves the passage by the spa freenow, doesn't it? When the terrorist on the right side of the map gets through the door, switchto red team then run past the spa, turning left this time, and rushing pastone door then through the next one on the left. Close the door behind you then run through to the next room, closing the door. Go through the door then turn left (not right, into the trip wire laser).Before walking through the doorway, look straight above your head and noticea surveillance camera swivel. Wait until it's facing STRAIGHT at the wall infront, then go through then turn right sharply, -right- up against the wall.Hide behind the first set of shelves then switch to blue team. Run through, trigger the alarm then hide again. Switch to green team then run through then up the stairs. (an alternative is to wait for the camera tobe 20 degrees from facing the window, switch to blue team, trigger the alarmthen hie again. Switch back to green team then run through. This would have to be well timed and take some practice but a patrolling terrorist managesto spot you when you're in the book filled room before setting off the alarm. Don't email me about how, because it must be a glitch that he can seeround corners =oS ) More Rainbow Six Tips: When up stairs take a quick right but wait for the camera again. Rush past then hide. Wait for the camera again then rush through to the next room to download the files from the computer. More Rainbow Six Tips: [Please note: I completed this mission AGES ago and in doing so, I am ableto load my save file to do the rest of the missions. Although, I cannot remember EXACTLY how I did this so this mission guide is a little rougharound the edges. I couldn't find a UK PSX version of a guide ANYWHEREexcept on a premium paid phone-up company. I used my first free 10 minutes in getting as far as the camera upstairs then I had to hang up. That last one was a right pain! Now...you can't relax yet because you gotto disarm another bomb. But this time it's a virus capsule, making it more fun!~fakes a smile~. And on top of that, you have to disable security first!Oh...I almost forgot to mention something...you can't shoot the place up, either =oS Have to 'infiltrate' the complex 'covertly'. In other words, be careful, slow and concise. Don't let any terrorist run away and/or triggeralarm systems. Action: More Rainbow Six Tips: Drop down to the water and continue straight on and round the corner. Head upthe ladder and turn around (180 degrees) to shoot a terrorist on a platform atthe other side then follow the platform round the bend to kill 2 more terrorists. Turn back round (180 degrees) and pick the door. Go through and up the stairs andpick the lock. Walk through then patrol round in this corridor to kill a total of4 terrorists. Find the place which you entered (through a gap in the corridor where there is 2 doors. From this gap, turn right then bend right again in the corridor. Go through the second door on the left (double, on the corner) the notice the viral bomb on the floor, but -DON'T- disarm it yet, because we haven't turned offthe security yet, have we? More Rainbow Six Tips: Switch to the next team (doesn't matter which one, because you're gonna tell the other team next to you to follow you). Drop down to the water then go through thetunnel ahead. Make a first right then up the ladder. (you might need to switch tothe following team to get him up there, too. The AI in this game is a tad naff.) More Rainbow Six Tips: Walk onwards and go through the door, up the stairs then through another door. Once out, turn right then right again. Turn left then go straight past both doorsthis time. Make a left, another left. then a right so you see a door with a 'B2'sign over it to the right. Go through this door then up the stairs to the door with 'B1' over it. Go through then patrol this corridor to kill a total of 5terrorists. You should be back at the door with 'B1' over it when you're done. More Rainbow Six Tips: From this door, go straight ahead and follow the corridor until you come acrossa few doors with stripped windows next to them. Continue along the path and go through the double door, then the next. Kill the terrorist through the window then go right to kill another terrorist. Retrace your steps to the place of the-dead-man-window-killing. Go down the other tunnel to kill another terrorist. More Rainbow Six Tips: Carry on and go through a seating area and up a slope. Turn right and kill the 2 guarding terrorists. Go through the next set of 2 doors, kill the scientist thengo right to kill a terrorist. Go down the slope then left to kill another scientist through the window. Go through the doors (not to go into the place with the dead scientist.) More Rainbow Six Tips: Then go through the next set of doors to snipe out the camera dead in front ofyou. 3 terrorists should shoot round the sides. Unleash a fury of CAR bullets onthier asses =D. Go left to pick the lock then shoot the terrorist behind thedoor. Go up the stairs and through the door then kill a terrorist on both sides. More Rainbow Six Tips: Go left through 2 doors then snipe the camera. Turn to the right to kill 4terrorists. Go up the slope then go left into Dome 1. Shoot the camera down fromin the corner then turn right to shoot John's first guard. Go forward then turnright slightly to kill John's second guard. The crosshair moves to him but don'tshoot him.
