Sony Entertainment will be giving a one-year warranty on the playstation parts. So if your console is still within the warranty period, you can take it to the Sony Entertainment shop and they will do it for free. If the warranty is void, Sony Entertainment will be charging for fees of USD 50.00 for the repair. Or alternatively, you can also send it to the other shops nearby to repair. But bear in mind that the repairer will give you a warranty of 2 weeks upon the return of the console to you. This is the risk you got to take if you opt to send it for repair to outsiders other than Sony Entertainment. There are also some website that provide some free tutorials that teach you how to fix your playstation.
